Wireless Retailer Case Study

A top US wireless communications retailer had some concerns over the amount of time their employees were spending counting cash. A Store Readiness Program Manager started seeing a trend in the amount of time managers were spending in the back office and the time it was taking to count the cash. He found that employees were taking 20 to 40 minutes per day counting cash drawers and there were still errors in cash counts and deposits. Meaning managers were stuck in their offices before and after shifts instead of preparing their store and employees for the day or helping customers.
