Tackling this issue is a major challenge for HR managers. And as retail workers find themselves at the greatest risk of poor mental health, according to a recent study; could the solution partly lie in a better approach to cash management?<\/p>\n<p>Work-related stress is a growing problem, especially among those in the retail industry. Figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (C.D.C) show that those who work in retail are more likely to take a leave of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/niosh\/programs\/workorg\/risks.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">absence from work due to mental health issues<\/a> such as stress, anxiety and depression.<\/p>\n<p>To tackle this, HR executives must address the causes of stress experienced by their employees. The cash drawer has to be recounted, causing a bottle-neck for other employees looking to count their registers at the end of their shifts.
