From Intelligent Cash Drawers to polymer notes, I predicted the cash management trends likely to have the biggest impact \u2013 and how your business could prepare for these. But, that was last year. Going into 2017, there\u2019s a new agenda&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So, fresh off the plane from <a href=\"http:\/\/nrfbigshow.nrf.com\/\">NRF Retail\u2019s Big Show<\/a>, here\u2019s a roundup of the best new cash management technology and my prediction of the issues set to impact global retail over the next twelve months:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Reducing the cost of cash management<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2742\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 3px 5px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tellermate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Cash-Management-Trends.png\" alt=\"Cash Management Trends 2017\" width=\"350\" height=\"250\" \/>If your business takes cash, there\u2019s usually a cost involved. From bank charges, to CIT fees and security costs \u2013 processing your cash costs you money. Plus, what about the associated labor costs? It may not be obvious, but even simple tasks such as counting your cash have a related cost. Because, when your employees spend time managing your cash they aren\u2019t spending time driving sales or improving customer service &#8211; and that impacts your bottom line. That\u2019s why reducing the cost of cash management is a big challenge for businesses this year.
